Die großen Überraschungen sind dieses Jahr ausgeblieben. Der Box-Office Hit "Avatar" konnte sich als Bester Film und Regisseur durchsetzen. "The Hurt Locker" galt als kleiner Favorit für diese Preise, vielleicht klappt es bei den Oscars!


Matt Damon war zwei Mal Nominiert und geht leer aus, Robert Downey Jr. wurde statt ihm als Sherlock Holmes ausgezeichnet (ein weiterer Box-Office Hit!). "Up In The Air" und "inglourious Basterds" gingen auch nicht leer aus, Christoph Waltz wurde als Bester Nebendarsteller ausgezeichnet und Regisseur und Drehbuchaustor Jason Reitman gewann lertzteres. Sandra Bullock ("The Blinde Side"), Meryl Streep ("Julie & Julia") und Jeff Bridges ("Crazy Heart") gewannen wie zu erwarten als Beste Hauptdarsteller.



Michael C. Hall wurde für seine Rolle als Dexter Morgan in "Dexter" ausgezeichnet, erst vor einigen Tagen ging er mit der Meldung über seinen bösartigen Krebs an die Öffentlichkeit. "Mad Men" wurde als Beste Drama Serie ausgezeichnet, Alec Baldwin wie gewohnt für "30 Rock" und sogar "Glee" konnte sich als Beste Comedy Serie durchsetzen.
